You've been meaning to visit Amana, and Labor Day weekend is a great time to do it! Artists will be painting all day Friday and Saturday. If it's warm, come out early or look in the shade for easels during the midday sun. You are likely to find artists on main street, near the town barns, in Homestead, or at the lily pond west of town. Drop in Catiri's gallery anytime for artist locations. On Sunday afternoon (2-4 pm) there is a quick paint event where you can see lots of artistic talent all gathered in the idyllic Amana yard behind the Catiris' gallery. There will be an award given immediately following. More fun, music, hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and an unveiling of the artists' work will take place Sunday evening, Sept. 3 starting at 5 pm.
